Terms and conditions of sale
Version of 10 septembre 2026 — applicable to orders placed on or after that date.
1. Who sells the tickets
These terms govern the sale of tickets and visits to the Musée-Promenade Louis Derbré — on this site and at the museum’s ticket desk alike — by Association LOUIS DERBRE, a non-profit association governed by the French law of 1 July 1901, registered with the national register of associations under number W792 005 353, whose registered office is at Chemin du Château de Conon, 41120 Cellettes, France, represented by its chairman, François-Noël Desfemmes (“the Museum”).

Placing an order means accepting these terms in the version in force on the day of the order.
2. What is sold
- The open-date admission ticket: one day’s admission, with no date to book. You buy it once and freely choose your day, throughout the current season.
- The Season Pass: unlimited access to the museum for the whole season, issued in one person’s name, to be shown at the entrance.
- Dated visits and events: guided visits, evening events and one-off occasions announced in our programme, sold for a specific date and time, with a limited number of places.
- Group and school visits: by quotation, under the terms of article 9.
3. Prices
Prices are given in euros, inclusive of all taxes. The applicable price list is the one shown on the Tickets page at the time of the order; it prevails over any other publication. Reduced rates (young people, children, students up to 25, jobseekers, visitors with reduced mobility and their companion, groups) are checked at the entrance: without proof, the difference up to the full rate is payable on site.
The Museum may change its prices at any time; orders already placed remain at the price paid.
4. Ordering and payment
Orders are placed online on the Tickets page, through the secure module of our provider Addock (EasyLoisirs). Payment is by bank card; payment data is handled by the provider and its banking partners, and never passes through our servers.
The sale is concluded once payment is taken. Your tickets are sent to you by email straight away, as e-tickets to be shown at the entrance, printed or on screen. If they have not arrived within the hour, check your spam folder and then write to us: we will send them again.
At the museum’s ticket desk, the sale is concluded on payment and the ticket is handed to you there and then; articles 5 to 11 apply in the same way.
Each ticket carries a unique code valid for a single admission; copying it has no effect.
5. Validity of tickets
The open-date ticket and the Season Pass are valid for the season shown on the ticket, on the days and at the times published on the Plan your visit page. They cannot be carried over to the following season.
Last admission is one hour before closing. The museum being a walk in the open air, allow an hour and a half for the visit.
The Season Pass is issued in one person’s name: it is presented by its holder, with proof of identity if we ask for it, and cannot be lent.
6. Right of withdrawal
Under article L221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services supplied on a specific date or during a specific period: this covers our tickets, valid for a season, and our dated visits. Articles 7 and 8 set out what happens if you are prevented from coming.
7. Cancellation, exchange, refund
Open-date tickets (admission ticket, Season Pass). They are neither taken back nor refunded — but they have no date to miss: they remain usable on any opening day of the season. A ticket left unused at the end of the season is lost; if something serious kept you from your visit, write to us and we will look at your situation.
Dated visits and events. You may cancel and be refunded up to 48 hours before the start time. After that, and in the event of no-show, the places remain payable. A transfer to another date is possible subject to availability.
Cancellation by the Museum. Some visits require a minimum number of participants. If we cancel or postpone — too few participants, bad weather, force majeure — you are told and refunded in full, with no further compensation, or moved to another date if you prefer.
Refunds are made to the original means of payment, within fourteen days.
8. Exceptional closures and weather
The trail is in the open air. In moderate rain the visit goes ahead — the bronzes take on a singular colour; in a storm, high winds or a weather warning, the museum may close for visitors’ safety.
The estate also hosts private events: the museum may exceptionally be closed for a private hire. Such closures are announced on the Plan your visit page — do check it before setting out.
In both cases your open-date ticket remains valid: nothing is lost, you come back another day. A dated visit cancelled by us is covered by article 7.
9. Groups, schools and guided visits
From ten people, and for any school visit, booking is compulsory and is made by quotation. The quotation sets out the format, the time, the supervision and the price; accepting it in writing constitutes the order.
For state schools, an invoice is issued after the visit, payable within thirty days by administrative payment order. For private schools and associations, payment is by cheque or transfer on receipt of the invoice.
A group visit cancelled less than seven days before the date remains payable at half its amount, except in the case of bad weather or force majeure. Accompanying adults remain responsible for their pupils throughout the visit.
10. Rules of the visit
The works stand in the open air, without barriers: they are there to be looked at closely, not climbed. Please do not climb on the sculptures or their plinths, keep an eye on children — particularly near the ponds and the monumental pieces —, keep dogs on a lead, take your litter with you, and leave barbecues and fires aside, as both are forbidden across the estate. Picnics, on the other hand, are welcome in the areas set aside for them.
The Museum may refuse entry or bring a visit to an end, without refund, in the event of behaviour endangering people or the works.
Damage caused to the works, the furniture or the plantings engages the liability of the person responsible or of their legal representatives.
11. Liability
The visit is made at your own risk, in a natural park whose ground is grass, sometimes wet, and sloping in places. The Museum is liable for damage attributable to it under the general law; it does not act as custodian of personal belongings, either in the park or in the car park.
12. Your data
The information collected when you place an order is used to issue it, to send you your tickets and to welcome you. The detail of the processing, the retention periods and your rights appear in our privacy policy. Your data is never passed on to third parties.
13. Complaints and mediation
Something wrong? Write to us first at contact@musee-louis-derbre.com: we answer every message. If our answer does not satisfy you, or if none has come within sixty days, you may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator we subscribe to: CM2C — Centre de médiation de la consommation de conciliateurs de justice, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris — online referral, within one year of your written complaint.
14. Governing law and language
These terms are governed by French law. This English translation is provided as a courtesy: in the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails. Should any clause be held void, the others would remain fully applicable.

Who is responsible for your data

What we collect, and why
- Contact form — name, email, telephone if you give it, message. To answer you. Legal basis: your request (pre-contractual steps, or our legitimate interest in dealing with a question).
- School or group enquiry — school, year group, number of pupils, possible dates, contact details of the teacher or organiser. To draw up a quotation and arrange the visit. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps.
- Ticketing — name, email and order data, collected by our provider Addock (EasyLoisirs). To issue your tickets, send them to you and welcome you. Legal basis: performance of the contract.
- Newsletter — email address and the interests you choose. To send you the programme. Legal basis: your consent, which you may withdraw at any time through the unsubscribe link in every message.
- Audience measurement — site traffic statistics, only if you accept (see the Cookies tab). Legal basis: your consent.
We collect nothing else: this site does not ask you to create an account, does not profile you and takes no automated decision about you.
How long we keep it
- Contact enquiries: twelve months after the last exchange.
- School and group enquiries: twenty-four months after the visit or after the project is dropped, then only the accounting records, for the periods required by law.
- Ticket orders: for the length of the season, then invoices for ten years under accounting obligations.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe, and three years after the last contact.
- Audience measurement: no more than twenty-five months, in line with the CNIL’s recommendation.
Who has access to it
Your data is handled by the museum’s team. It is hosted and carried by processors acting on our instructions: Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg for hosting the site and sending our emails, Addock (EasyLoisirs) for online ticketing, and Google Ireland Limited for audience measurement if you have accepted it.
We neither sell nor pass on your data to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
Transfers outside the European Union
Hosting and ticketing are operated from within the European Union. Audience measurement, where accepted, may involve a transfer to the United States, framed by the European Commission’s adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 and by standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, as well as the right to give directions as to what becomes of it after your death. Write to contact@musee-louis-derbre.com: we answer within one month.
If our answer does not satisfy you, you may refer the matter to the French data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés — 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07 — cnil.fr.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. Access to the administration tool is individually named and protected by two-factor authentication. The database is backed up before every update. Bank card details never pass through our servers.

The works and the images
The sculptures in the park are the work of Louis Derbré (1925-2011); they remain protected by copyright and their reproduction is a matter for his successors in title. Photographs of the works published on this site are used with the permission of the Fonds de dotation Louis Derbré and of their authors, credited on each entry wherever the credit has been provided to us.
You are free to photograph the works for your own personal use during your visit. Any commercial, editorial or press use — as with flying a drone over the park — requires our prior written permission: write to contact@musee-louis-derbre.com.
Intellectual property of the site
The texts, layout, graphic elements and documentary database of this site are protected. Any reproduction, even partial, requires our prior permission. Links to our pages, on the other hand, are most welcome.
